A Famille Rose Teapot and Pattipan

Decorated in the typical Famille Rose palette, the complete decoration evolves around the chrysanthemum and the use of various shades of light pink to almost bright red in combination with yellow green and lavender blue. The cover is well modelled as a double chrysanthemum with a central knob connected to the handle by a single silver chain. By painting the enamels on the petals in a slightly thicker manner, the potter has given the teapot and pattipan an extra dimension of depth causing the decoration to catch more light and liveliness.
