Centrally depicting an interior scene of a high ranking couple surrounded by attendants and young children. Considering the shape and flat form, this plaque was most likely once part of a large multi-panel screen.Screens were often elaborately decorated with various shaped plaques of porcelain, often depicting complete stories from ancient Chinese novels.
