A Pair of Famille Verte Vases China, Kangxi (1662 - 1722) Diameter: 30 cm A fine pair of Famille Verte hexagonal vases decorated with scalloped shaped panels of “Long Elizas” in a fenced garden alternated by panels of flowering plants, a landscape and antiquities. According to Prof. Dr. C.J.A. Jörg it that similar shaped vessels were already being made in the late fifteenth or early sixteenth century and most likely based on Persian or North Indian metal models. Near identical vases are in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam and Museum Boymans van Beuningen, Rotterdam. Another pair is illustrated the Leonard Gow Collection.
