A Chinese black-ground Cizhou-carved bottle vase, yuhuchunping China

Appears to be in overall good condition, with shallow chips to the foot. The vase is of pear-shaped form leading to a slender neck and flaring rim, the body is finely carved through the lustrous black glaze to the buff ground with a band of floral scrolls. Catalogue notes: A similarly decorated vase was sold at Christie’s Hong Kong, 27 November 2013, lot 3284, and a further similar Cizhou vase can be found in the Freer-Sackler Asian Gallery at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC, F2003.1a-e. 金 磁州窯劃花花卉玉壺春瓶
